About Stone, Dartford

Stone is a small hamlet in the parish of Dartford, Kent. Situated on the River Darent, it can be found at 51.3844°N 0.2278°E and has a population of around 2,000 people.
The area has been inhabited for centuries and was owned by Lord Stone during the Middle Ages. His estate was granted a royal charter to hold an annual fair from August 12th to 14th, known as "Lord Stone's Fair."
